Set against the tumultuous backdrop of the Second World War, "ONLY THE BRAVE" is a passionate new musical inspired by the true life stories of men and women who lived, loved, and fought for freedom. A husband and wife separated by war, a soldier and a nurse who find true love on the battlefield, and a band of soldiers who would give up their lives for one another.
Starring Edinburgh’s own, Keith Jack, runner–up in BBC's hit show "Any Dream Will Do" to cast "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" and Niamh Perry, finalist of this year's "I'd Do Anything" to cast the role of Nancy in "Oliver!" with a cast and orchestra of over 30 performers, this thrilling new musical will receive its world premiere at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the George Square Theatre, the festival’s new Musical Theatre venue.
The production will run from 31 July to 25 August at 6.15pm, with original music and lyrics by Matthew Brind, book and lyrics by Stephen Coleman and book by Rachel Wagstaff.
