Daniel Sparrow
Daniel is the originating producer for 2007s award winning world premiere stage adaptation of Pedro Almodóvars "All About My Mother" at the Old Vic Theatre. Daniel secured the worldwide exclusive stage adaptation rights for "All About My Mother" from Almodóvar in 2002, the first stage adaptation permitted by Almodóvar in over 20 years. "All About My Mother" premiered in Londons West End in September 2007 to great acclaim, as a co-production with Sam Mendes Neal Street Productions and the Old Vic (under artistic Director Kevin Spacey) and won two 2008 Whatsonstage Theatregoers Choice Awards, including "Best New Play", and was nominated for five other major theatrical awards.
Originally from Australia, Daniel has established himself in the management and production of first class West End productions on a local and international scale workings since 2000 for renowned theatrical general manager Andrew Treagus Associates Ltd, with whom current management projects include the London and international productions of "MAMMA MIA!", "Billy Elliot" and "Jersey Boys". Previous projects in the West End include "The Lady in the Van", "The Caretaker", "Saturday Night Fever" and "The Breath of Life" starring Judi Dench and Maggie Smith. In Australia, Daniel also worked on the Australian productions of the musicals "Disneys Beauty and the Beast" (Sydney) and "Sisterella" (Melbourne).
Future producing projects include the European premiere of the Sydney based Griffin Theatre Companys hit Australian play "Holding The Man". He is also currently working on the Broadway, Australian and other international productions of "All About My Mother".
