Matthew Brind
Matt works as a Musical Director, Composer and Orchestrator. As Musical Director, "Make Me A Song", "Desperately Seeking Susan" West End, "Me and My Girl" UK Tour; "Tomorrow Morning" New End Theatre; "West Side Story" Battersea Arts Centre, "Brick by Brick by Bricusse" (Directed and Choreographed by Gillian Lynne); "Espresso Trasho" Arts Theatre; “Honk" Cardiff Everyman; "Oklahoma" and "HMS Pinafore" Sherman Theatre. As Assistant to the Musical Director "Any Dream Will Do" BBC Television and "Grease is the Word" ITV. As Childrens Musical Director "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" London Palladium. Other West End Credits include "The Woman in White" Palace Theatre (Keys 1) and "The Sound of Music" London Palladium (Deputy Keys).
Matts compositions have included, "Dance of the Dragon", chosen as a finalist for the Global Search for New Musicals 2002; "Tickledom" – European Tour (First Chice Holidays) / Midsummer Festival of Music and Theatre, Cardiff 2004, 06, 07; "Gold Woman" Performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2003 / 2007. Matt has orchestrated for, "Any Dream Will Do" BBC Television; "Britains Got Talent" ITV; "Me and My Girl" UK Tour (Additional Vocal Arrangements and Additional Orchestrations); "Tomorrow Morning" New End Theatre and Album (Co – Orchestrator and Co – Vocal Arranger); "Brick by Brick by Bricusse" (Arranger) and "The Brotherhood of Man" The 70s Story (Album). Matt was Producer for the original cast recording of, "Tomorrow Morning" and has been a pianist for the X–Factor series 2 and 3.
Currently Matt is Orchestrating and Arranging for the Faenol Festival (North Wales), hosted by Bryn Terfel and being aired on BBC 1 with stars including John Barrowman and Jodie Prenger (winner of BBC’s I’d Do Anything).
